What We Do

Train

With our extensive practice hours and extremely knowledgeable and experienced coaches, our archers have the opportunity to train and develop as athletes with the support necessary to go from never having shot a bow before to a collegiate national champion. Coaching is provided with membership at no extra cost and is available to all members.

Socialize

SGA regularly hosts social events open to all our members with the aim of bringing us together and celebrating our community. Our annual events consist of Halloween Shoots, Ice Skating Fundraiser, White Elephant, and the End of the Year Banquet. Our social chair also works hard to create and put on additional events and opportunities to participate with our community!

Due to the Coronavirus and stay at home order, there will be no practices or events held on the field until further notice. However, that does not mean we are not having fun socializing! Come join the UCSD SGA discord, a place where you can chat and have fun with various members, officers, and even coaches!

Compete

Part of the archery experience that our community enjoys so much is traveling to tournaments and competing! Competition is more of a test against yourself, a challenge to demonstrate your ability to grow, self reflect, and improve. Our members have the opportunity to compete representing Sun God Archery, whether they are students or community members! We aim to support our community and help them achieve the goals they set for themselves.
